When we conclude the recent Hunger strike reasons of 18.01.05 from Kurdish
Leader Mr.Marwan Othman against the Syrian repression, Terrorism, Torture
against the civilian Kurds in Syria; especially against the political
Prisoners, at a time when the Baathist aggression had been begun, and our
Kurdish Situation is worse, we are above animated by sincere desire unable
to solve the Kurdish national problem peacefully, an we could not to spare
the Kurdish people and the Arab people of Syria, the horrors of a
fratricidal war. We would like to put our Hunger strike in the peaceful and
democratic Solution
Which could be to power is made possible by the defeat of a new democratic
System in Kurdistan in Syria.
Mr. Marwan Othman wants to give the activity to the ignored world, who has
forgotten, about what is happening against the Humanity in Western Kurdistan
by Baathis-Regime.
This is a good chance to prove by its acts its good intentions towards the
Kurdish people and to bring to the whole of Syria a democratic and peaceful
life.
The prosperity and democracy which constitutes the profound aspirations of
the Syrian people.
The Othmans Hunger strike provided, among other things, for the withdrawal
of Syria Syrian Troops to their Position, which is regarding to Qamishlo
Uprising in 12.03.2004
They had occupied the all Kurdish Region.
Mr.Marwan Othman aims:
The payment of compensation to those who had suffered in the war; the
liberation of all suffered in the Qamishlo Uprising and who are still
suffering in Syrian Prisons.
The result of the Qamishlo Uprising:
- More than 100 Kurds were killed by Syrian forces
- More than 1000-2000 were wounded
- More than 2500 Kurds are brought into the different Prisons.

- More than 10.000 Women, Children and Men have run away.

Mr.Othman is for the liberation of all political prisoners; and above all
for the formal recognition of Kurdish national rights.
These rights were and are refused as usual by Baatist-Regime in Syria .These
rights as Mr.Marwan Othman believes to be defined by civilized Countries in
Europe, USA and by democratic Solution which could be also to defined by
negation with Baathis-Regime itself.
In return it must be agreed that the civilized world could supports the
Othmans process to liberate all the Syrian Prisoners, which Mr.Othman does,
and that the Kurdish people would be partly converted into comparable
standard with Arabs.
The remaining Kurdish Parties and Organizations are to be dissolved and
reintegrated into the civil life of Kurdistan.
Thus, the new provisional constitution, apart from the fact that it is drawn
up a non democratic manner, without consulting the Syrian people, represents
a step backward by comparison with the constitution of 1963.
In this first article the new constitution says the Syrians are an integral
part of the Aran nation, although it is evident that the Kurds are not part
of that nation.
The nineteenth article reminds the Kurds of their duty to republic without
at all defining their national rights.
A single Arab Party, excluding all others, which created by the regime.
But there can be no question of our adhering to an organization which by
definition has no room in it for us.
Nor can there be any question of our dissolving the Kurdish people through
the Arab national nationalism.
It wants to see in the Kurdish national question only what it calls
”Alhasaka”of which Damascus makes much was not the objective of our Uprising
and should be the task of
The autonomous authorities of Kurdistan with assistance of the central
government.
Our attitude is clear and we consider it just. We do not want war.
We will never start it.
But we shall continue building our autonomy, consolidate our own
administration.
And if we are attacked continuously we shall defend ourselves with the same
determination as when we were attacked by Kebul and the Baath.
We do not have any doubt on the issue of our struggle for liberty.
We hope that friendly and civilized Countries in Europe, USA and Asian and
the United Nation will intervene in time to prevent another Extermination,
Massacres and Torture in Syrian Prisons against the Kurds and to resolve our
national question peacefully on the basis of Democracy.
We will in the immediate future address ourselves to the great powers and to
the Secretary General of the United Nations and apart of UE and apart of the
peaceful.
world.
Finally, we would like to call the civilized Countries; in Europe and
developed Countries to support Othmans Aims and to negotiate with him to
put an end to his Hunger strike and release his own life and the life of
thousands of Kurdish people in Syria.
